FAQs

Do you take commissions?

I’m open to taking a couple commissions this summer. Please contact me through my contact page and provide me with what you’re looking for and timeline and I will get back to you to confirm if I’m able to take your commission.

How often do you post original art?

I paint almost daily in the early morning and will post a small collection of the work that I feel worthy of sharing. You can see what I’m up to on Instagram. If you don’t want to miss when I post a new collection of paintings, please sign up for my email list and you’ll be the first to know when I have new work available.

How do you frame watercolour?

I think watercolour art looks best in a white or natural wood frame with at least a 2 inch mat. Watercolour must be behind glass and out of the sun. It will fade if in direct sunlight. If the art has a deckle edge you can place the art over the mat so that you can see that detail.

What is a deckle edge?

It’s the edge of the paper that’s torn instead of being cut. I like the imperfection of it and it adds character to the piece. All paintings are approximate in size because of this. This detail adds to the handmade element of the art.

Do you sell prints?

A lot of my work is on Society 6 where you can order prints as well as items such as home decor with my art on it. I will be looking into further print options this year.

Can I put an original painting in our bathroom?

I don’t recommend it as the moisture will destroy the painting. I would suggest a print of the artwork instead.

What is your return policy?

All original art is final sale. If purchasing through Society 6 you can contact them directly if you’re not satisfied with the print or product.

Who owns the copyright to your work?

I do. I maintain copyright of all artwork and may choose to sell prints and other possible renditions of the work. The buyer may not reproduce or resell the artwork in any way. Copyright Wendy Millard 2021-2022. All rights reserved.
